The Blue i Group offers comprehensive home inspections that adhere to ASHI’s highly regarded Standards of Practice. Included with our residential Blue i Home Inspection, we use advanced Thermal Imaging technology, limited to specific applications and components, to better assess the efficiency of a home. To meet the broader needs of buyers, sellers, and current homeowners, we also offer several additional home services—these include DIY Advisory, Home Monitoring, Radon Testing, and Drinking Water Testing.

We offer these additional services:
Before you put a home on the market, we encourage you to consider scheduling a Pre-Listing Inspection. When you have your home inspected before negotiations take place, you can identify any major problems and nip them in the bud. This way, when a buyer schedules their own inspection, you’ve taken a tremendous step to maintain trust and improve the likelihood of a successful sale.
Annual Home Maintenance Inspection
You can protect your investment and prolong the safe condition of your home by regularly performing home maintenance. When you schedule an Annual Home Maintenance Inspection, we’ll examine your home for deficiencies that have surfaced since your last inspection. After we’ve identified any problem areas, we’ll take time to educate you on the issues and recommend strategies for resolution.
11th Month Inspection
Before the 1-year warranty is up on your new home, it’s a good idea to have your property professionally inspected. In an 11th Month Inspection, we’ll evaluate your home for defects, safety concerns, or system deficiencies that have emerged since your final walkthrough. Just remember to have this inspection performed before your warranty expires so that the cost of repairs could be covered by your builder!
Full Thermal Imaging Scan
Infrared thermography is a tremendously useful technology in the assessment of a home. By evaluating the temperature signatures inside your home, we can determine where air is coming in or escaping, the location of electrical hotspots, and the sources of any unwanted moisture.
If you enjoy tackling do-it-yourself projects around your home but could use a little guidance, then The Blue i Group is here to help. In a DIY Advisory, your project will benefit from the discerning eye of a home inspector. We won’t show up just to tear up your plans and tell you how it’s really done—rather, we’ll offer practical advice within the context of your design and impart any preventative insight that could keep your project from taking an undesirable turn.
i Watch Home Monitoring
When you’re planning to be away from your home for an extended period of time, it can do wonders for your peace of mind to know that your home is safe, secure, and in trusted hands. Sometimes a helpful neighbor will do a commendable job caretaking your property, but wouldn’t it be comforting to entrust your home to someone trained in its many systems? The Blue i Group offers Home Monitoring services to allow you a worry-free absence from your investment. We’ll keep watch over your property to make sure that all systems are functioning correctly, and we’ll even prepare your home for the winter if you’re unable to make it back in time.
Whether you’re a new homeowner or have been settled for years, we highly recommend having your home tested for radon. Radon is a dangerous radioactive gas that forms when certain types of rock and soil undergo breakdown deep underground. The gas can then emanate through the surface and infiltrate the air inside your home. Over time, radon can cause numerous health defects, including lung cancer. Odorless and invisible, radon is difficult to detect without the proper instruments—but fortunately, The Blue i Group has the tools, equipment, and training to test whether your home contains unsafe levels of these harmful compounds, and the knowledge to recommend mitigation measures if called for.
Drinking Water Testing
A source of clean water is essential for the healthy condition of any home. Heavy metals or certain types of bacteria can concentrate to harmful levels in a water supply unbeknownst to the homeowner. When you have your drinking water tested, we’ll take a water sample and send it to a laboratory for evaluation to ensure that the water in your home is safe and free from dangerous levels of contaminants.
